Marcelino Sanchez Jr. is a native of Puerto Rico. When he was 3 years old his family relocated to Chicago, IL where he and his two sisters were raised. At 15 he began the greatest relationship he has ever been involved in as he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Marcelino served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army in the administrative arena. In 1992, while in the military he met and married his help-meet, Sabrina. Marcelino is the proud father of 3 children; Leilani, Jonathan and Maritza.
Immediately following retirement from the military, Marcelino accepted a position in Detroit Michigan as a JROTC Instructor. His dream was always to return to the inner city and giveback what was given to him, a chance, and another option to the streets. It was not long before Marcelino could no longer ignore the tugging at his heart and with the support of his family resigned his position entering into full time ministry. Since accepting the call to ministry he has served in various capacities from Church Administrator, Academic Dean, and Missionary.
No matter where he serves his standard trademark is integrity and excellence. While willing to serve where ever God leads Marcelino and his family especially having a passion for foreign missions. For 3 years they lived in rural Honduras, C.A.; a land and people who captured the family’s heart. The Sanchez Family plans to return annually for short term opportunities to serve. Marcelino is a graduate of Beacon University/Christian Life School of Theology graduating Magna Cum Laude and he is an ordained minister. However, more than anything Marcelino Sanchez, Jr. is a disciple of Jesus Christ who is sold out to enlarging the Kingdom of God. His passion is to serve with excellence.
